MSC READ-A-THON

We are thrilled to announce our upcoming Read-A-Thon fundraiser, taking place from February 9-March 1! This fantastic event not only promotes the love and joy of reading but also supports our school in raising funds for important learning initiatives that benefit all MSC students.

Dates:

-
The Read-A-Thon kicks off Friday, February 9 with a Magic Show to celebrate the Magic of Reading!
-
The event ends Friday, March 1. To celebrate, kids will Dress Up as their Favorite Book Character!

How It Works:

-
REGISTER at www.read-a-thon.com/readers/r/PtThfg Each student will receive a unique sign-up code.
-
SHARE the donation link with family & friends and encourage donations of at least $10. Just think how much money we can raise for our school if every student asks 10 friends & family to donate $10!
-
LOG reading minutes online! Students can log their daily reading minutes and view their minutes read and money raised in their online account.

Why Participate?

-
Promoting Literacy: The Read-A-Thon encourages the love and joy of reading and helps support MSC’s focus on good reading habits in our students. We believe reading is magical!
-
Community Building: This event is fun and exciting and brings our school community together, motivates our young readers, and fosters some healthy competition. Prizes: Pizza party for classes with most minutes read (K-2, 3-5, 6-8). Special prize for top readers and fundraisers – Cookies and Cocoa with Marciarie!
-
Fundraising for the Future: Funds raised will contribute to all the in-school and out-of-school learning opportunities that make MSC such a special and nurturing place: the Greenhouse, School Supplies, Arts Programming, Field Trips, and so much more! Last year’s Read-A-Thon raised over $20,000 – we think this year we can do even better!

How You Can Get Involved:

-
Support Your Child: Register your child’s Read-A-Thon account, encourage setting reading goals, help to log minutes read, and support them to reach out to family & friends who may donate.
-
Spread the Word: Share information about the Read-A-Thon with family & friends, encouraging them to support your child and make a donation.

We are confident that with your support, and with this MSC community, our Read-A-Thon will be a tremendous success. Together, we can make a positive impact on our students’ reading skills and provide valuable resources and opportunities for MSC and our students.
